Find Your Voice.
Sing With Freedom.
François Bessing believes that everyone can sing because singing is a sensational experience—one that should be felt throughout the entire body.
A classically trained Bass-Baritone, François began performing professionally during his first semester of undergraduate study. He earned his B.A. in Music, Magna Cum Laude, from Kutztown University before continuing his vocal training at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London.
His approach to vocal coaching is holistic and body-centered, drawing inspiration from the work of Kristin Linklater. Rather than treating the voice as something separate from the body, François helps students reconnect with their natural voice—building greater freedom, confidence, expression, and control.
This foundation can be applied across Musical Theatre, Opera, Classical, Jazz, Pop, Soul, and R&B, allowing each student to develop their own authentic sound rather than simply learning to imitate someone else's.
Performance & Training
François brings professional performance experience directly into his teaching. His credits include Bass-Baritone soloist work in Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, along with performances spanning theatre, orchestral music, concerts, and contemporary performance.
His credits also include Ragtime with the Boston Symphony, High Priest Hotep in OFC Theatre’s The Prince of Egypt, an improvisational performance with Patti LaBelle at Zoellner Arts Center, and background vocals for Kenny Rogers at Santander Arena.
François has performed throughout London, New York City, Rochester, Buffalo, and across the Northeast.
A Studio for Every Voice
François Bessing’s Vocal Studio welcomes students ages 6 and up, from first-time singers to experienced performers looking to refine their technique. Lessons are available both in person and virtually.
Vocal coaching can also extend beyond singing. François works with individuals seeking greater confidence in public speaking, executive presence, vocal expression, and healthy voice use.
Every voice is different. The goal is not to create a new one—it is to discover the freedom, confidence, and expression already within yours
